The town of Los Altos Hills is a premier Silcon Valley Residential Community, 35 miles south of San Francisco and 17 miles north of San Jose. This town is dedicated to "the preservation of the rural atmosphere of the Foothills and orderly and unhurried growth". The area is distinctive because of its rolling hills and picturesque valleys. The early 1900's character of the apricot and prune orchards is remembered in its zoning - "A single family housing and agricultural zone" with additional uses such as public and private schools, churches and synagogues, recreational and other facilities compatible with non commercial communities.
